Madens Folkemøde
3-4 June 2022

The aim of Madens Folkemøde (The People’s Food Assembly) is to create a strategic as well as popular forum to impact the Danish food culture. At the heart of Madens Folkemøde are debates and talks about Denmark as a country on the forefront of food production both now and in the future. Also, Madens Folkemøde is a celebration of craftsmanship, kitchen skills, good produce, and the joy of food.

We aim to include all perspectives on the conversation about our food. The program has debates concerning our nature and agriculture, ours and our children’s health, the food industry and their view on the future and sustainability at home and in a larger context. The activities concern the important everyday meal, our children’s kitchen skills as well as our gastronomy.

We strive to create a positive debate. Everyone who has something important and relevant on their mind will have a say. This is the core value of Madens Folkemøde. The ambition is to have contributions from all the interesting voices in the industry no matter size or power. We wish to provide a space where everyone has an opportunity to share their views.

Madens Folkemøde takes place June 3rd and 4th on the brink of midsummer and the new season of fresh Danish produce. During the two-day event Madens Folkemøde welcome decision makes, opinion makers, professionals, students, locals and other with an interest in food.

Visitors can explore over 60 public debates (most in Danish), more than 40 sessions on craftsmanship, an intriguing food market with some of the best Danish produce, long-table dinners, beautiful Danish brewed and distilled beverages, and much more. The main part of the program will be in Danish, but we have some events in English or that are suited for non-Danish speakers.
